Day 1: Arrive in Belize City, Belize / Ambergris Caye
Meet and Greet by a representative of Adventures in Belize at the Philip Goldson International Airport.
Your stay at Matachica will be in a spacious Sea breeze Bungalow 200 feet from the Caribbean Sea with king size bed,
full bathroom, air-conditioning, sitting area, private patio with hammock, feather duvet, along with Central American
interior furnishings.
Matachica award winning Mambo restaurant is a must visit and dine. The Italian chef prepares exquisite international
cuisine daily as well as a variety of homemade pastas and breads. The menu includes recipes that incorporate
fresh spices and vegetables grown on property.
After a short orientation and welcome drinks, check into your sea breeze bungalow and enjoy a relaxing evening
on the beach or by the bar.
Days 2: Local Reef Dive, 2 tanks
Awaken to the splendor of a Caribbean sunrise.
Your first full day will start with a complementary continental breakfast at Matachica award-winning, Mambo
Restaurant.
After breakfast you will be met at the resort by your guide, who will take you out for the day. Your tour will
take you to multiple dive sites just beyond the reef crest, at average depths of 60-80 feet, profiled to glide you
over and amidst the spur and groove canyon formations.
Starting off a 40 ft Gorgonian plain you dive into a vivid terrain of fleshy boulder and pillar coral formations,
amongst waving sea fans, sea rods and impressive sponges. Busily scurrying about are a variety of colorful fish, by
affixing your sight more intently you can spot the more elusive marine species. Typically around you will be able
to see large groupers, nurse sharks, gliding eagle rays and turtles. This is an opportunity to reach out, touch and
experience nature at its best!
Your tour will return in time for lunch giving you the opportunity to unwind and dine while enjoying the Caribbean
breeze and Matachica cocktail. After lunch, why not head out to visit the various sites, sounds and people that make
up this unique Caribbean hideaway.
Day 3: Off-Shore Blue Hole Day Trip, 3 tank
Today you will tackle the world famous Blue Hole.
Take a 2 hour boat ride to Lighthouse Reef. Though a deep dive, the Blue Hole is simply serene as you glide
among the ancient, enormous stalactites and stalagmites; as Caribbean Reef Sharks sashay beyond in the deep blue.
The wall dives at Half Moon Caye and Long Caye pose enough rumpus to overwhelm your expectations.
These reefs are so flamboyant with sweeping Gorgonians, barrel sponges and midnight parrot fish darting about
and among garden eels. This is an all day dive departing at 6:00am and returning at 4:30pm and Includes Breakfast,
lunch, fruit snacks, water, juice and beer. Tour includes trips to Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye and Long Caye. The
depths of dives are 30’, 60’, and 40’ respectively.

Day 5: Departure Day - Local flight from San Pedro airport to Belize City
Today you will be saying goodbye to your new “home-away-from-home” and all the wonderful islanders you’ve met,
taking with you experiences to last a lifetime.
